Welcome to ROUNDhouse

ROUNDhouse is a professional band for hire, available for live entertainment and gigs throughout the Auckland area.  We play jazz music, rock and pop covers, as well as our own original tunes.  We can vary our style from sophisticated jazz band to rockin' party band... all in one gig if required! 

Our quartet consists of Drew Hutchinson on saxophone, Tony Ramsay on keyboards/lead vocals, Richard Linklater on drums, and Don Weller on bass/backing vocals.  Read more about the band members...

We are versatile musicians and our wide-ranging band playlist includes jazz classics by Miles Davis (All Blues, Freddie Freeloader), Herbie Hancock (Watermelon Man), standards such as Summertime and My Funny Valentine, plus a number of Latin-flavoured tunes (like Horace Silver’s Song for My Father and Chitlins Con Carne by Kenny Burrell).  We also include a smattering of original material along with guaranteed crowd-pleasers of classic pop/rock tunes such as Money (Pink Floyd), I Saw Her Standing There (The Beatles) or Take Me to the River (Al Green/Commitments).  Listen to samples here...

We always tailor our music to your special event and are happy to take requests... even for the guest of honour to get up and do a live number with us!  Weddings and corporate events are a speciality.
